The 60 mm thermally broken profile, in a visible-sash and a concealed-sash version.
COR 60 is the entry system in the CORTIZO thermally broken range: a 60 mm frame depth, a 24 mm polyamide bar and a glazing rebate that goes up to 46 mm. It is the system we propose where the main requirement is sound, well-sealed joinery, without needing the greater depths of the 70 or 80 mm range.
The concealed-sash version changes how the façade reads entirely: the sash disappears behind the frame, and from outside only 60 mm of aluminium is visible, identical on the fixed and on the opening part. The performance of the two versions is however different and is published separately below.
A dash means that the data sheet for that version does not declare that value. We have not filled it in with the value of another version.
Variants
Each version, with its own data sheet
COR 60
Visible sash
The standard version, with the sash visible from outside. It covers both windows and doors and has the widest set of opening types in the family, including pivoting on a horizontal or vertical axis.
Characteristics
Thermal transmittance
Uw ≥ 1.0 W/m²K
Glazing
maximum 46 mm / minimum 5 mm
Sound insulation
maximum Rw = 48 dB
Frame sightline
60 mm
Sash sightline
68 mm
Profile thickness
window 1.6 mm / door 1.6 mm
Polyamide bar
24 mm
Maximum dimensions / leaf
W 1,500 mm × H 2,600 mm
Maximum weight / leaf
160 kg
Extrusion alloy
6063 T-5
Classes achieved in testing
Air permeability (UNE-EN 12207)
Class 4
Watertightness (UNE-EN 12208)
Class E1350
Wind resistance (UNE-EN 12210)
Class C5
Reference test specimen
1.23 × 1.48 m / 2 leaves
Testing verified by
ALUMINIOS CORTIZO S.A.U.
Opening configurations
Inward: side-hung, tilt and turn, parallel sliding and bottom-hung.
Outward: side-hung, top-hung projecting and pivoting on a horizontal or vertical axis.
Finishes
Two-tone possible
Powder coating (RAL, mottled and textured), to Qualicoat >60 microns
Wood-effect coating, to the Qualideco standard
Anodising, to Ewwa Euras / standard class 15, optionally classes 20 and 25
The sash is concealed behind the frame, so that the façade reads a single 60 mm line, the same on the fixed and on the opening part. The glazing rebate is smaller than on the visible version, and the maximum leaf dimensions are lower.
Characteristics

The thermal transmittance values published by CORTIZO are minimum values for the system, conditional on the typology, on the dimensions of the joinery and on the glazing unit. The actual value of an assembly is established by calculation, on the configuration actually ordered.
From system to finished joinery
What we do with this system
Choosing the configuration
The system offers a range; the project asks for a value. We settle the version, the glazing unit and the typology from the actual requirements of the building, not from the maximum on the data sheet.
Calculation on the actual assembly
The transmittance of a window depends on the frame-to-glass ratio. We calculate it on the actual dimensions of the openings, not on the laboratory specimen.
Our own production
Cutting, machining, assembly and glazing in our own workshop in Baia Mare, on original CORTIZO profile and with hardware approved for the system.
Installation and handover
We install with our own teams, including abroad, and hand the job over with its documents. The warranty is the one published on our warranties page.
