We guarantee what we make. For components that come from other manufacturers, we tell you openly which warranty applies and who grants it.
A joinery product is not a single object. It is an assembly made up of profile, glass, hardware, finish and, sometimes, electronic components — each with its own manufacturer and its own warranty conditions.
That is why we have drawn a clear line between what we guarantee as the manufacturer and what is guaranteed by the suppliers of the systems and components. It is the only honest way to word a warranty.

10 yearsOur own direct warranty, for the way the product was designed, manufactured and assembled in the Baia Mare factory.
PVC profiles – stability of the system
10 yearsIn so far as the system manufacturer grants this warranty for the configuration used on your project.
Insulating glass unit – seal integrity
10 yearsWhere it is duly covered by the warranty of the insulating glass supplier, for the installation and exposure conditions of the project.
Mechanical hardware
5 yearsThe mechanical opening, closing and locking components, under normal conditions of use and with the periodic maintenance carried out.
Roller shutters and mechanical shading systems
5 yearsThe mechanical part of the shading systems. Motorised components fall under the next row.
Motors, automation and electronic components
As per the manufacturer’s warrantyThese components are made by third parties and keep the warranty and the conditions set by their manufacturer. We hand over the corresponding documents together with the delivery.
Powder coating, foil lamination and special finishes
Extended warranties, according to the systemCertain finishing systems can carry warranties considerably longer than the standard product warranty. The duration depends on the finishing system, on the type of finish, on the exposure environment and on the manufacturer’s conditions. We tell you the exact duration for the finish you have chosen, on the basis of the applicable documentation.
Installation carried out by MCV ProTrust
Settled by contractThe warranty conditions for installation are set according to the type and the scale of the job and are communicated when the contract is signed.
Important. The 10-year MCV warranty does not replace and does not automatically extend the individual warranty on motors, automation, electronics or other components made by third parties. For those, the warranties and conditions of the manufacturers concerned apply.
The warranty on the finished product remains our responsibility. The warranty on an individual component remains that of its manufacturer. We tell you from the outset which is which.
Our warranty
What the MCV ProTrust warranty covers
The 10-year warranty covers the product as it left our factory: the way it was designed technically, manufactured and assembled.
- The correctness of the workmanship: joints, welding, machining, assembly.
- The conformity of the delivered product with the agreed technical solution: dimensions, opening type, configuration, system.
- The stability of the assembly under normal conditions of use.
- The structural integrity of the product, within the limits of the system used and of the purpose it was designed for.
Components
Component warranties
We work with systems and components from established manufacturers. Each of them grants its own warranty, on its own conditions, and we cannot alter it.
What we do instead: we choose the component that suits the project, fit it in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and hand over the warranty documentation together with the job. If a problem arises with a component, we are still the ones who take up the case and carry it forward to the manufacturer.
For motors, automation and electronic components, the warranty is the manufacturer’s. We do not artificially extend it and we do not present it as our own.
Finishes
Finish warranties
The finish is the only part of the product that can carry a longer warranty than the product itself. Certain powder coating systems and certain decorative foils benefit from extended warranties, granted by the manufacturer of the finishing system.
The duration depends on four things: the finishing system used, the type of finish, the environment the product will be exposed to and the conditions set by the manufacturer. A profile coated for a building by the sea is not subject to the same conditions as one fitted in a town inland.
For this reason we do not publish a single duration for all finishes. We tell you the exact duration for the finish you have chosen, on the basis of the applicable documentation, before the order is placed.
Conditions
Use and maintenance
The warranty applies under normal conditions of use. A few simple things keep the product within its parameters and the warranty in force:
- Use the product for the purpose it was designed for.
- Clean the profiles, the glass and the gaskets regularly, with non-abrasive products.
- Check and, where necessary, grease the mechanical hardware, following the instructions supplied on delivery.
- Keep the drainage and ventilation openings in the profiles clear.
- For motorised systems, follow the operating instructions issued by the manufacturer of the component.
- Let us know if you notice a problem, before it causes further damage.
Limits
What the warranty does not cover
These are the cases in which the fault does not come from the product or from the way it was made:
- Mechanical damage: impacts, scratches, accidental breakage.
- Improper use, or use for a purpose other than the one the product was designed for.
- Interventions, repairs or adjustments carried out by persons not authorised by us.
- Alterations made to the product after delivery or installation.
- Lack of maintenance, where maintenance is required and has been communicated.
- Installation carried out by third parties, as regards the installation itself.
- Damage caused by events beyond our control: extreme natural phenomena, fire, movement of the building structure.
- Normal wear of consumable parts, within the limits specified by the manufacturer.

Write to us at office@mcvprotrust.ro or call +40 745 488 611. It helps a great deal if you send us photographs, the order or invoice number and a short description of the situation.
We examine the case, establish whether it falls under our warranty or under that of a component manufacturer, and tell you the solution and the time frame. If a third-party component is involved, we take up the matter with the manufacturer ourselves.

Your legal rights
The commercial warranty described on this page is granted in addition, voluntarily, by MCV ProTrust.
It does not replace, limit or affect in any way the rights granted to you by law. If you are a consumer, the rights provided by the legislation on the conformity of products and on consumer protection apply to you in full, whatever the conditions of the commercial warranty.
The specific warranty conditions, including the duration applicable to each component, are communicated in writing together with the quote and the delivery documents.
