DECORATIVE LOUVRE SCREENS

Ten louvre profiles, each with its section dimensioned, and for eight of them the free visual area as well.

Lattices do two things at once: they filter the light and give the façade texture. The choice between references is made on a measurable criterion — the visual free area, that is how much of the field remains open to the eye, measured in two directions, A/C and B/C.

CORTIZO publishes eight references in the data sheet. Three of them are classified for wind: lattice 2747 and tubular louvres 2847 in Class 6, the maximum, and mini-lattice 2785 in Class 5.

The second criterion is the section of the louvre, because that is what gives the façade its rhythm: an 18 × 38 mm louvre reads as a fine stripe, a 30 × 190 mm one as a wide band. The manufacturer dimensions ten profiles — the eight in the data sheet, plus two more that appear only in the system drawings. You will find them all in the second table, with their dimensions.

The dimensions are those marked by CORTIZO on the drawing of each profile, in the order shown: first the horizontal dimension, then the vertical one. Which of them becomes the visible height depends on the position of the louvre in the frame. On Ref. 770036 and Ref. 770080 the drawing marks only one dimension, so we give only one — we have not filled in the other.

  • Anodising, to Ewwa Euras / standard class 15, optionally classes 20 and 25

Ref. 770220 and Ref. 770080 appear only in the profile drawings, not in the performance table: for them the manufacturer declares no free span or visual free area. That is why they are listed only in the sections table.

The thermal transmittance values published by CORTIZO are minimum values for the system, conditional on the typology, on the dimensions of the joinery and on the glazing unit. The actual value of an assembly is established by calculation, on the configuration actually ordered.

What we do with this system

Choosing the configuration

The system offers a range; the project asks for a value. We settle the version, the glazing unit and the typology from the actual requirements of the building, not from the maximum on the data sheet.

Calculation on the actual assembly

The transmittance of a window depends on the frame-to-glass ratio. We calculate it on the actual dimensions of the openings, not on the laboratory specimen.

Our own production

Cutting, machining, assembly and glazing in our own workshop in Baia Mare, on original CORTIZO profile and with hardware approved for the system.

Installation and handover

We install with our own teams, including abroad, and hand the job over with its documents. The warranty is the one published on our warranties page.
